<description>http://www.morelove.in/index.php?id=57 Secular humanism is the mental framework that dominates our current society. Its thought patterns are exclusively concerned with human interests and human activities. That means, literally, the exclusion of God. The human being, not God, is the centre and measure of all things. In our hands we hold both our individual and global destinies.

What does secular humanism teach?

The basic teachings for secular humanism are simple:

[1] There is no such thing as &#8216;god&#8217;.

[2] &#8216;Nature&#8217;, of which is the most developed part, is all that exists.

[3]] We are capable of and responsible for fulfilling our own destiny.

[4] Our own happiness and development is all we should aim for.

[5] Religion works contrary to the humanists&#8217; goal.

<description>http://www.morelove.in/index.php?id=58 Rock music has become a global cadence that has attracted hundreds of millions of devotees. To many young people, rock music and its more violent variation "heavy metal" has become their lifestyle, where perversion, use of narcotics, violence and nihilism (denial of all reality) is encouraged. In this pamphlet, we will say a few words about the general meaning of music in the spiritual life of a person. We will then quote the opinions of psychologists, doctors and public figures regarding the influence of modern rock music on the youth, in particular &#8212; on sexual and violent behavior. We will then expose, from a Christian standpoint, anti-Christian, occult and even satanic elements in some forms of rock music. Finally we will how parents can assist their children to recognize the serious consequences of the influence of such music.

<description>http://www.morelove.in/index.php?id=64 Certain drugs have become popular among teens and young adults at dance clubs and all-night dance parties called 'raves'.

These drugs, collectively termed 'club drugs', include MDMA (Ecstasy), Rohypnol, GHB, ketamine, and LSD.

MDMA, methylenedioxymethamphetamine, called Ecstasy, X, XTC, Adam, Lover's Speed, Clarity on the street, is a synthetic drug that can produce both stimulant and mild sensory-altering effects. It is similar to the stimulant amphetamine and the hallucinogen mescaline.

MDMA is usually taken orally, by tablet or capsule. Its effects last approximately 3 to 6 hours, though depression, sleep problems, and anxiety have been reported for days to weeks afterwards.

<description>http://www.morelove.in/index.php?id=67 A child who reaches age 21 without smoking, abusing alcohol or using drugs is virtually certain never to do so.

- Joseph A. Califano, Jr.

Alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence are not only adult problems -- they also affect a significant number of adolescents and young adults between the ages of 12 and 20, even though drinking under the age of 21 is illegal.

The average age when youth first try alcohol is 11 years for boys and 13 years for girls. The average age at which Americans begin drinking regularly is 15.9 years old.

According to research by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, adolescents who begin drinking before age 15 are four times more likely to develop alcohol dependence than those who begin drinking at age 21.

<description>http://www.morelove.in/index.php?id=59 Teenagers may be involved with legal or illegal drugs in various ways. Experimentation with drugs during adolescence is common. Unfortunately, teenagers often don&#8217;t see the link between their actions today and the consequences tomorrow. They also have a tendency to feel indestructible and immune to the problems that others experience.

Using alcohol and tobacco at a young age increases the risk of using other drugs later. Some teens will experiment and stop, or continue to use occasionally, without significant problems. Others will develop a dependency, moving on to more dangerous drugs and causing significant harm to themselves and possibly others.

Adolescence is a time for trying new things. Teens use drugs for many reasons, including curiosity, because it feels good, to reduce stress, to feel grown up or to fit in. It is difficult to know which teens will experiment and stop and which will develop serious problems.
